Piano Fun

Dayton can now climb onto the piano bench and play the piano. If I leave pencils on the piano, (as pictured - so I can mark my music when I practice), he’ll take them and start writing on the keys. (Bad. Very bad). He also likes to sit on the organ bench sometimes while I’m practicing, and he wants the metronome on. He’ll make a clicking sound, (which is the same sound he makes for a “quack,”) and he’ll sway back and forth like the pendulum of the metronome. It’s cute.

Blue Bell Fun

When Laura was here, we went to the Blue Bell Factory. We started with a picnic lunch for the kids. (The adults held out until we could return to town for a late lunch from Fuego!)

I just love Texas!

The tour was fun, and the ice cream was yummy!

Watch this chain of events...

…It leads to a smiling boy!

I’m glad we could go before Blue Bell had to close. I miss Blue Bell! I’ll be buying some when it’s back in the stores!

Egg Hunt #1

I took the kids to the Easter egg hunt at the presidential library. Claire was so excited, and Dayton was happy to be along for the ride.

Claire played some of the games.

And then she went into the bounce houses. She spent most of her time in the "girl" one, (a princess castle), but she did venture into the “boy” one, (with lots of super heroes), too.

Then it was time for the egg hunt!

She got plenty and had a wonderful time. Dayton just wanted to get out of the stroller and go get the eggs before it was time.

More Bows

You’ve seen me as a bow-head. Dayton wanted to be one, too.

St. Patrick’s Day

We were in Dallas over St. Patrick’s Day, and the weather was beautiful, so we spent some time outside. Dayton loved it, and Claire loved it.

Dayton found this statue on the side of my parents’ house. It used to be at my grandparents’ house. He gave the little boy a hug. How sweet.

Claire wanted her picture taken, too.

She’s rolling!

And he’s on the run!
