Christmas Lights

We took a drive through the Deerfield neighborhood and LOVED the lights we saw!

These Santas moved. They were hilarious!

And after a great night of looking at Christmas lights, Dayton sleeps spread eagle!

Christmas Cookies

The kids and I made Christmas cookies in stages this year. First, one Sunday morning, we made the dough

A day or two later we rolled out the dough, baked the cookies, and then decorated them. And we ate some, of course.

Dayton helped with these cookies:

And here is Claire with the ones she decorated:

After this, I froze the rest of the cookies since it was still a couple of weeks until Christmas. A few days before Christmas, I took the cookies out the freezer and decorated the rest of them. That way Santa was sure to have some!

Galleria Tree Lighting

I heard about the tree lighting at the Galleria, and we decided to go see it. The tree is massive!

We saw some little girls do an ice skating routine. Then we saw a male and a female champion each do an ice skating routine. And then finally it was time for Santa to ice skate!

He even had sparks coming out of his skates at times!

Some sparklers made the lighting of the tree even more festive!

I love my two little Christmas kiddos!

While we were waiting for a table at the Grand Lux, I took the kids up the escalator. (That’s always a highlight for Dayt). We saw the Christmas tree from above.

It was beautiful!

The Grinch!

Dayton was included this year on our tradition of watching the Grinch and eating snacks! I enjoyed having all four of us there to be in on the fun! This is one Cooper tradition that we always do!

Decorating the Tree!

Claire, Dayton, and I helped my mom decorate the Christmas tree. I always love doing that!
