Baby’s Room

Last week Mel came to deliver and hang my birthday/Christmas present - some curtains for the baby’s room. And she also offered her services by organizing the baby’s room. Boy, did it need it!! - Just take a look!

I was feeling under the weather, so I mostly sat in the rocking chair and did a few little things here and there while she did everything else. When she was almost finished, she kicked me out while she did the final touches. Look at how great our baby’s room looks now!!!

It’s actually organized! You can actually walk inside it without tripping on something! Thank you, Mel! We really, really appreciate your help!!!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Back in August I signed up to make some teacher appreciation gifts during November for the 27 employees of Claire’s school. (Let’s just let the record show that if I had seen this sign-up sheet in October, I would not have signed up for November!) Thankfully, a friend of mine saw my name down and signed up to do this with me.

I love to bake, so my thoughts naturally went that direction. Here’s what we did with pumpkin bread, a pumpkin cookie cutter, and pound cake batter.

Then we just had to make a LOT of it!

 And then we wrapped it, tied it, and finally delivered it.

I am thankful for Claire’s teachers, and I’m glad I could help share some appreciation for all of the teachers at her school. I’m also thankful to my friend who helped so much and did most of the work needing to be done standing up. - I’m thankful I could do a lot of work while sitting down!

Happy Hour Shower

Some people from Jordan’s work gave us and another couple expecting a baby a happy hour shower this week. It was so nice! It was at Abuelo’s, (which is a great start to any event!), and we had a lot of fun. We were blessed with nice gifts for the baby and great people who obviously care about Jordan. That is so nice to see and be a part of!

FYI - Those cupcakes back there are Mexican vanilla and Nutella with chocolate icing - delicious!!!!!!

Grandma’s Birthday

When we told Claire that we were going to have a birthday party at our house for Grandma, Claire was super excited! - She’s always excited about birthday parties, of course! And by the looks of it, I’d say all the kids were very much into helping Grandma open her birthday presents.

Claire was also very interested in the earrings Grandma got.

Baby Shower

Some friends of mine gave me a baby shower for this little boy who is coming soon. It was so nice!

We got lots of great stuff for the baby, and we had fun just talking. Thank you, everyone!
