Happy Birthday, Claire!

We've had a wonderful weekend with family in town to celebrate Claire's 2nd birthday! I'll post plenty more pictures and details later, but I just wanted to document this day on her actual birthday.

Jordan and I went in Claire's room this morning with balloons to tell her Happy Birthday, and she absolutely loved it!

P.S. This afternoon, she was happily playing with her new toys in the living room while Jordan and I were in the kitchen, and we heard her singing Happy Birthday to Claire Girl. It was so cute!

Stuffed Animal Friends

(Note: This might be the commentary that goes on in Claire's head while she's playing:)

Look at what my stuffed animals can do! They can sit in a row next to me and the dresser!

I can sit on the floor with all of them around me! I love these stuffed animals!

They can all sit in the chair, too! - I wish I could sit in the chair with them.

Hooray! Look at me! I'm sitting with all my stuffed animals in the rocking chair!!!

Now it's nap time. I put all my animals on the floor so they can sleep. - Lucky me - I get to sleep in a real bed!

O Lucky Day!

I think Claire felt REALLY lucky this morning to be able to stand on the step stool and help me make green pancakes. She wanted to stir as much as possible!


(In case anyone was wondering, the green pancakes still taste great with chocolate chips in them!)

Another Hat

Claire found another container that fits on her head! She'll wear any type of hat that she can find!

Asleep, Asleep

A few days ago, Claire played in her crib for two hours instead of taking a nap. - I'm VERY happy that she enjoys being in her crib, but sometimes I really want her to sleep! :-) After two hours of playing, she finally went to sleep. Thirty minutes later, I woke her up because it was so late in the afternoon. But before I woke her up, this is what I found:
