Crystal obviously put so much thought, care, and planning into the details of this wedding reception. The decor was stunning, and the details were beautiful!










Appropriately, this cake was chocolate with peanut butter-flavored frosting between the layers!

Let's Go Rangers!

Last night I tried to create a ballpark feel in our home, as we got ready for the big game 6 of the World Series, so we had ballpark food for dinner! - Chili dogs, pretzels, {applesauce??} and later root beer floats - just because they're fun.


Sadly, the Rangers were one strike away TWICE and they still ending up losing the game. Tonight, LET'S GO RANGERS!!!! We're rooting for you!

Brock & Crystal's Wedding

My cousin Brock got married last weekend! It was wonderful to see Brock and Crystal get married! Everything was beautiful, and it was great to see so many family members! Here are some pictures of Brock and Crystal during the reception.

Our Little Ladybug

Last night was Trunk or Treat at church. Claire went as a ladybug. She did a pretty good job of saying "trick or treat" to people. She probably said it about 2/3 of the time.


Claire seemed to enjoy carrying around her pumpkin, and the glow bracelets she got were a big hit!

This was Jordan's perch. He got home from the hospital just minutes before we left. He's such a good sport! And yes, Claire is trying to eat a sucker with the wrapper still on.

Once the wrapper was off, the sucker really kept Claire occupied!

Our little ladybug has wings, too!

19 Months

Claire is 19 months old today! And she's still our sweet little girl!


She's also still my shadow. She loves to be wherever I am. And she's helpful, too. She throws trash away for me, and when I drop a sock while I'm transferring laundry, she's always there to pick it up for me!

She loves her turtle and her frog. She's still about 27 pounds and 33 inches tall. She has gotten another tooth in the past month, so that brings the total to 8.

Another new thing for Claire this month is that she's putting words together. For instance, she'll say, "go go, car" when we're about to leave. Or she'll say, "jac, ma ma" when she sees my jacket. She also says please and thank you, and she sometimes says sorry. It's so sweet to hear her talk, and I love being able to know what she's thinking about. We love our sweet little girl!

Boo!

While Claire and I have been in Houston for a few days, she has rekindled her love of climbing the stairs. She'll deliberately hold onto one of my fingers, pull me towards the stairs, and ask, "stairs?" (Only, it doesn't sound like "stairs" when she says it).



She's also enjoyed some other toys. The car is a big hit!

She likes to throw balls.

But she's still a girl; she still likes to hug them, too!

And it seems that Kyle has been enjoying Grandpa's new toy, also!

More Boots

I forgot I had this picture (for the previous post). It's funny watching Claire try to get her foot high enough to make it inside the boot! She frequently looses her balance and has to put her foot down over and over and over to stabilize herself before she finally gets her foot inside. I think she got her leg inside this time all by herself.

Big Shoes to Fill

Claire likes to put on our shoes and walk around in them.

Sometimes she needs help.

And then she's off - because she's a big girl! (I love the tongue!)
