Evan collected pinecones.
The kids were excited to ride a train and to have their very own golden ticket.
We ate cookies and hot chocolate, we listened to the story of The Polar Express, and then we sang Christmas carols and danced in the aisles. I thought it was very well done.
We reached the North Pole and waved to Santa. Then, when we sang loudly enough for him to hear us, he got on the train and gave the first gift of Christmas - to Dayton!
He proceeded to give each child a bell.
They all seemed very, very excited!
We loved the train ride, and we took some pictures with a train, too.
We enjoyed this day trip!
