Summer Experiments and More

Claire and I did a few science experiments/projects this summer. The first showed that the surface tension of water decreased when you added some dish soap to the water. - Claire put pepper in the water, so she was able to see the pepper move when she put the dish soap (on the toothpick) in.

We saw the same concept in a different way, as well. This time, milk was in the bowl, and she added food coloring. When she put in the soapy toothpick, the food coloring swirled around. It was very cool!

Grandmom made bread in a bag with Claire, Taylor, and Marcus.

And Dayton got bowed again.

We saved some empty Kleenex boxes, and Claire and Dayton turned them into shoes.

And I think this was a house (under the blanket) and a garage or a backyard (in the chair circle). I love their imagination!

Claire made a butterfly feeder, and later we saw a beautiful, (but injured), butterfly in the back.

Finally, Claire dressed up a little bit like Dad.

We had a fun summer!
