At the end of nursing school, and just before graduation, we celebrate the pinning of graduate nurses. The pinning ceremony is a very special occasion for graduate nurses. We had a lovely dinner before the pinning began.

There are now 5 (five!) nurses in the Cooper family. Jordan's aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Sam, his brother Stephen, his Grandma Polly, and now Jordan are all nurses! (Jordan is technically a graduate nurse at this point, but he'll be a registered nurse soon enough!) It was so great to have all these nurses at Jordan's pinning ceremony. It was a great evening.
Traditionally, the graduate chooses someone who has helped him "survive" nursing school to pin him. Stephen and I both got to pin him. Stephen definitely helped Jordan through nursing school. - There were many times when Jordan called Stephen with questions about homework and case studies. I'm glad he could ask Stephen because I didn't have a clue! I, on the other hand, got to proof read papers and simply encourage Jordan to keep going! Sometimes that was really easy, and other times it required a bit more support. But now all of Jordan's hard work has paid off!!! I'm so proud of him!
Thankfully they put a ribbon on the back of the pin, so the actual pinning would be easy to do.
Here's the newly-pinned nurse!
We're so happy!
Here is the Cooper clan at the end of the ceremony.
And here we are with my parents, too.
