Our Trip to Phoenix

Back at the end of June, we went on a trip to Phoenix with Stephen, Mel, and Kyle. Jordan's Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Sam live there, and every time we see them, they say, "When are you coming back out to visit us? Come soon!" Stephen and Mel had decided to go, and we decided to join them! Here are some pictures.

Jordan and Justin before they went to play golf the first time.

Jordan, Sam, Justin, and Stephen before golfing for the 3rd time! Jordan and Justin went all three times, they convinced Stephen (somehow!) to go with them the 2nd time, and Sam went, too, the 3rd time!

We all had lots of fun in the pool. Kyle especially liked it, but he could only handle being in this float for a little bit before he wanted to get out and jump and splash!

Jordan, Stephen, Mel, and Justin at the local In-N-Out. It's a hamburger joint that is "que popular" with the entire town, it seems! At high-traffic times, it's difficult to find a seat, and there is a sea of employees - around 15 to 20 - really working in the back!

Our ride home was long, but we were encouraged to keep going because we were going to eat at La Fiesta in Hobbs, NM. I have never been there, and I was looking forward to my first taste of the stuffed chicken sopapilla. We got there around dinner time on July 1st, and we saw no cars in the parking lot. We became alarmed. Then we saw a sign that said they would be closed from July 1-15 to celebrate the holiday. So, alas, we tasted no stuffed chicken sopapilla that day. Thankfully, Midland has Rosa's, so we drove all the way to Midland and ate Rosa's for dinner.

Even Kyle was sad about La Fiesta being closed!
