Jordan and I went on a Duck Tour one day, and we saw the city of Boston via land and via water, since we were in a "W. W. II style amphibious landing vehicle." Here's a little bit of what we saw during the ride.
The Massachusetts Statehouse
The gold dome was painted a darker color during World War II so that it wouldn't stand out as a target during blackouts. It was re-gilded in 1997.
Look! We're in the water!
We were underneath a drawbridge. I'm not usually in that position, so I took a picture!
The salt & pepper bridge, so nicknamed because those 4 posts look like salt & pepper shakers
Part of the salt & pepper bridge
A new prison - with a great view of the water
Some nice views - with another duck
A nice view without any ducks!
"Old Ironsides," the world's oldest floating commissioned naval vessel. USS Constitution never lost a battle.
We had a fun time on our Duck Tour. We learned lots of interesting facts (did you know that there are 107 Dunkin' Donuts in Boston?) and we laughed a lot, too. It was fun!
