New Orleans

After the zoo, we drove down St. Charles Avenue to show Stephen and Mel a bit of classic, old, beautiful New Orleans. A lot of the houses had Halloween decorations up, and those were fun to see. - My favorites were the huge spiders and bats on the houses and fences.

We attempted to go to Parkway Bakery for lunch. Jordan and I have been there before, and we loved it. But it just happens to be closed on Tuesdays. (Who knew?!) So we were out of luck. We went with plan B and went to Guy's for po-boys. I think these looks show that Guy's was great, too!

We made it over to the French Quarter after lunch.

We strolled a bit and ended up by the river.

And then it was time for beignets at Cafe Du Monde! Kyle absolutely LOVED them! (And so did Stephen!)

Claire liked them enough that she wouldn't share the end of hers. I'm okay with that.

And with that, we headed back to Baton Rouge. Fun times!
